Employment Week

INVEST IN HUMAN CAPITAL - EUROPE'S GREATEST ASSET

Employment Week - an annual exhibition and conference focusing on the major social and economic issues surrounding employment and creating an effective discussion and meeting forum.

Organised in close cooperation with DG Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, the event attracts a wide range of individuals, businesses, social partners and government policy makers from across the EU and beyond

The 2010 edition of Employment Week will take place on 24-25 November 2010, once again at Management Centre Europe, in Brussels.

We've made some changes this year, to take the event back to its roots and link it once more with the heart of the EU. November is the month when DG Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities publishes its Employment in Europe report. Employment Week 2010 will provide a forum for discussion of the outcomes of the report, and an arena in which to work through the policy issues raised within it. Employment Week will also focus on the key EU themes for 2010 and 2011 -  tackling poverty and social exclusion, and exploring the EU wide benefits of volunteering.

To better reflect these closer ties to and greater cooperation with the European Commission, we have renamed the event Employment Week - The European Employment Forum.

The conference programme is being developed and the following key speakers are now confirmed:
